For the past decade, the only partner reseller of QSR software in New Zealand has been Flexibleplus Research and Development Solutions. Until very recently, Flexibleplus operated out of the Woodhill Park Research Retreat. It was, in many ways, synonymous with the retreat but in actual fact, the company was formed before we developed the retreat. It was started specifically to enable us (Dr. Jens and Jenny Hansen) to resell QSR software and to provide associated training activities.
Consequently, many hundreds of tertiary academics, postgraduate researchers and government analysts not only learned how to use various iterations of QSR software but also learned about how best to devise, develop and successfully exercise research strategies in concert with maximizing the power of various versions of the software. It was, and continues to be an exciting and rewarding journey for us.
However, over time, most sales of QSR products have been captured by direct on-line sales from QSR and for that reason, Flexibleplus has now been purchased as a company by the Woodhill Park Research Retreat. It has quite simply become an unnecessary entity as we are no longer advancing QSR as our flagship product and service. Instead, the Woodhill Park Research Retreat has become strongly positioned as a centre for scholarship, development and research within which software continues to be sold and training provided. We're delighted at the way in which the retreat is now an important part of the academic and research landscape for postgraduates candidates and academics.
This means, however, that providing QSR software is now a much smaller aspect of what we do although it remains an important courtesy option to researchers and scholars who want to purchase the product.
Although we'll continue to provide QSR software and training to agencies and researchers within New Zealand, we'll also diversify by selling other products and services. Hence, we're now actively selling Inspiration Software, a really inexpensive mind-mapping tool that can, by the way, also be used for undertaking very simple qualitative analysis.
We're also promoting, but not selling, MindManager and J.V.C. Gantt, an amazing associated pair of project management tools. An exciting development is that these products will soon be able to be linked to a qualitative research plug-in that is being finalized by New Zealand developers. The plug-in will allow researchers to conduct sophisticated qualitative research directly with mainstream Office products and data will be able to be stored on the net. Importantly, it is anticipated that the cost of this product will be more than competitive with other qualitative research software. We will actively promote and sell that software when it comes on stream.
This means that if you want to purchase either Inspiration or QSR products from us, you should contact Jenny or Jens at +64 9 4117703 or email us at jhansen@woodhillpark.com We'll be pleased to help you. But while we'll provide these products to you, please note that we're no longer selling them on-line. The banks, the manufacturers, the Internet Web
controllers and various others have made that far too expensive. So
rather than hiking up costs to defray expenses, we're reverting to
receiving orders either over the phone or by email.
Do contact us, therefore, to find out more about qualitative research
products and about training and support. We want to be able to continue to supply
software to students and tertiary institutions as well as to government
agencies and above all, we want to provide strong software support and qualitative research assistance. We work one-on-one as well as with groups. Talk to you soon.
