Academic Mentoring

We've assisted more than forty thesis students during the five years we've been at the Woodhill Park Research Retreat.
We seek to be open rather than clandestine in our work with thesis candidates. This means we prefer to work with thesis candidates as well as with their supervisors or at least with the knowledge of supervisors.
Typically thesis candidates come to us but in some instances we'll arrange to visit the candidate and/or their supervisor/s.

Prices, excluding GST, are shown in the table below:

Individual Guidance - Unsupported Student.	$85.00 per hour or part thereof.
Individual Guidance – Academic.	$110.00 per hour or part thereof.
Individual Guidance – Government.	$140.00 per hour or part thereof.
Individual Guidance – Corporate.	$175.00 per hour or part thereof.
Pre-purchased Sessional Guidance (limited to selected candidates).	$600.00 per term.

Notes:

Charges are for one hour blocks of time and are charged at an hourly rate;
Student rates are only available upon application;
Providing guidance at a distance can be arranged in a variety of ways. To arrange, contact us at the Woodhill Park Research Retreat;
All guidance time must be pre-purchased and time-tabled. Cancellations will incur a sliding charge contingent upon fees due and time-frame of cancellation;
Individual guidance provided on-site is usually purchased by the hour but alternate blocks of time can be arranged. There is a sliding scale of fees for such circumstances;
Pre-purchased Sessional Guidance is only available by prior arrangement to selected students. It involves a use it or lose it regime and is levied on a 'per term' basis;
Off-site contact is for a minimum of two hours and travel costs are levied:

Within Auckland Travel, $65.00 plus GST;
Airport & Taxi levies for out-of-town work involving air travel, $120.00 plus GST;
Airport pick-up &/or delivery (one way), $70.00 plus GST.
