Woodhill Park Retreat

Workshops and Courses

A number of workshops are held a the Woodhill Park Research Retreat.  We invariably ensure that there is a news item about these but we also list details under the "Courses and Events" drop-menu, so please, bookmark this site and make a point of regularly finding our about what is on offer.  Alternatively, you can click on the orange icon that is featured in the top right hand corner of this page in order to activate an automatic delivery service.  Please do feel free to make contact with us so that you can help us generate workshops, courses and events which can best address the professional needs of your organisation and profession.

From time-to-time, we'll even teach over the Internet.  In such cases, access to course information will become password protected which means access will only be possible by password after pre-enrollment and pre-payment of course fees.

Very occasionally, some materials may also become password protected which means that access to them will only become possible when entry costs have been met and a password issued.

We've found that postgraduate students often enter the realm of thesis preparation with glints of rose colours radiating from their enthusiastic eyes and an accompanying ora that can only be described as a shroud of naivity.

Typically, there are many practical hints which can be taken on board to make the journey easier.  Equally, there are a bevvy of questions that should be asked so that entitlements become granted to the high-fee-paying candidate.  We're facililitating a workshop to make sure that a host of handy-hints become shared with candidates and at the same time, we want to alert thesis writers to finding out about entitlements and sources of help.  Dr Jens Hansen is facilitating the workshop from the stand-point of having been a supervisor and an examiner and Ann Jo Perry is contributing as a canidate who has all but completed the doctoral thesis journey.  Click here to find out more or click on the heading of this entry to go to the workshop outline.
